Almost one half (49%) of those who suffer from depression or anxiety never go to see a doctor about their problem.
Many don't know they are depressed, they think they are just 'not good enough', if can only be different and do better, they will be okay.
A major symptom of even mild depression is execessvie shame and guilt, negative thinking, and feeling like a failure, also known as the impostor syndrome.
Do it for your children:
When children grow up surrounded by
parents who are hard on themselves (even when they are very postive with their kids) they take this message into adulthood and will focus on their own short comings - not being good enough.
As a therapist the #1 issue people discover that is underneath their anxiety and depression is the belief "I'm not good enough" I'm not thin enough, smart enough, nice enough.
I spend anywhere from 3 to 5 sessions with my clients teaching them about self-compassion. This remains a theme throughout our time together.
Private group for members of this course only. This will be a place to ask questions & get clarity. I will be in this group as your cheerleader.
